Tadao is facing a new meaningless job in a downsizing industry; his second marriage is adrift and his children are mostly strangers. He makes a break from his workaday existence to go down market and put everything he's got behind his lifelong passion for pro-wrestling. But never having won a single match in his younger days, the odds, at age 41, are against him. Tadao's resolve holds firm and, as his reckless adventure comes to bring new meaning to the word "triumph," his family and friends move from astonishment to deep admiration.
MASK DE 41 is the first feature by MURAMOTO Taishi, who is one of Japan's hottest young television commercial directors. It stars TAGUCHI Tomorowo, who won international fame as the star of TSUKAMOTO Shinya’s TETSUO - IRON MAN.

MURAMOTO Taishi (Director)
Born 1963, Muramoto began is career directly after college with Tohokushinsha Company, one of the major advertising agencies in Japan. He has directed numerous television commercials for major brands since 1990; and is currently directing commercials as a freelancer. MASK DE 41 is his first feature film.
